Do you want to learn English in Glasgow?
You can learn English, or ESOL, in the community or at college. There are long waiting lists for college. While you are waiting, join a community class. This is the best way to get a place at college.

There is a waiting list for community classes in Glasgow. Community classes will contact you by text or phone to invite you to a class in your area, when there is a place in the class.
You should register only once.
Join a community class
You can go to a community centre or an organisation and ask to join a class. You can also phone. Most community classes are between 1-4 hours a week.
There is a list of some community classes here. Please check different areas - City Centre, North East, North West, South and Online.
Apply to college
College applications for 2024-25 are now closed but you can find more information on their websites.
College places are in high demand.
If you go to a community class and have good attendance, you can be referred directly to college.
All three colleges have agreed to prioritise community learners from Glasgow Life, WEA and ESOL Scotland
